Preferred by Pets was first opened for business in 1991. In 1994 the current owners purchased the shop and it has been family owned ever since. We have 3 active, skilled groomers (and 2 retired) which have all been properly trained- along with several hours of continuing education in proper pet handling, behavior, safety, skin care and hair styling!
Our shop policy is to keep the grooming process as relaxed and stress free as possible. This helps keep the pets (and groomers!) calm and happy. Jessica, Birgit and Lora are pleased to offer you a combined total of just over 36 years of experience. Our experience and training in the grooming industry allow us to make recommendations for your pet’s haircut style and length, if needed. We are knowledgeable in breed standards as lined out by the AKC, and attend continuing education seminars whenever possible. We also have several years experience in grooming cats!
When you are ready to make an appointment please call a day or two in advance of your desired grooming date. We will accommodate you to the best of our ability. With warmer weather, flea season, and/or holidays, we book up fast!
